This week, Lewis Hamilton the 7-time F1 World Champion begins his drive for Scuderia Ferrari after an 11 year tenure with Mercedes.
As he embarks on a new chapter, not only does his team change but so will the watches he wears. For the past decade on the grid Lewis has only worn IWC (as they’re the sponsor of the Mercedes F1 Team). But now Lewis will be on the grid rocking pieces by Ferrari’s sponsor, Richard Mille.
Yesterday, he was fitted in the iconic Ferrari Red for the first time and on his wrist was a Richard Mille RM 67-02 ‘Italy’ to match.
Richard Mille RM 67-02 ‘Italy’
It’s super thin at 7.8mm and weighs a mere 32 grams, thanks to the combination of TPT® composite materials, grade 5 titanium and the elastic wristband, the lightest strap ever created by the brand.
The RM 67-02 is my favorite model from the brand. It’s what makes me try to justify the price or argue with random people on instagram that Richard Mille is not the same as a happy meal toy (though many may look like it lol).
The market price on these are around $300,000.
Lewis in Red looks sharp, I must admit…
Hopefully a collab between RM X LH is in the works!
